Real Madrid monitoring Liverpool forward Victor Munoz
It remains unclear whether Victor Munoz would consider returning to the Spanish capital
Real Madrid continue to keep a close eye on developments at Liverpool, with reports claiming another Reds star has emerged on their radar for a potential future transfer.
It follows an increasingly familiar path between Anfield and the Bernabeu in recent summers, beginning with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s controversial move to the Spanish capital last year before Ibrahima Konate followed this year.
Alexis Mac Allister has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid. Speculation intensified over the summer when the Argentine midfielder entered the final two months of his Liverpool contract.
Although the 27-year-old has remained at Anfield and reaffirmed his commitment to the club, there has been no indication of a contract extension, with further links to a potential move to La Liga emerging in recent months.
Real Madrid have developed a reputation for monitoring players approaching the end of their contracts at Liverpool in the hope of securing cut-price deals. However, the latest reports concern a different situation.
According to Spanish outlet AS, Los Blancos are also monitoring Victor Munoz following his move from Osasuna to Liverpool in the summer.
The winger came through Real Madrid’s academy and showed considerable promise but struggled to break into the first team, competing with established stars such as Vinicius Jr., Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.
His move to Osasuna was intended to provide more regular first-team football, and he made the most of that opportunity. Liverpool were sufficiently impressed to secure the 23-year-old’s signature.
Victor Munoz has since added pace and quality to Liverpool’s attack, prompting his former club to monitor his progress with a potential return to the Bernabeu in mind.
Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on Nico Paz, Jacobo Ramon and Rafa Marin, who have similarly progressed through the club’s academy.
It remains unclear whether Victor Munoz would consider returning to the Spanish capital. However, with his Liverpool contract running until 2032, the Reds are unlikely to entertain the prospect of selling him any time soon.
There is also hope that Munoz’s promising start is only the beginning. He has registered two goals and one assist in eight Premier League appearances, competing for a place alongside several high-profile attacking options.
His early performances suggest Liverpool are pleased with their summer signing, with the focus firmly on what he can achieve at Anfield rather than a potential return to Madrid.
