France head coach Zinedine Zidane was impressed once again by another strong performance from Jeremy Jacquet.
The 21-year-old earned his second cap on Friday night, playing the full 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Italy in the UEFA Nations League.
The centre-back made his France debut four days earlier in a 1-0 victory over Belgium.
Assessing Jacquet’s most recent display, Zidane told reporters: “Very good. Very, very good. Brave.
“He wasn’t afraid to come out a long way. Very good in the duels. He was, once again, very good. I said it four times.”
Jacquet has made an impressive start to the 2026-27 season for both club and country.
He was ever-present for Liverpool before the international break and was also nominated for September’s Premier League Player of the Month award.
On his first time in France’s senior set-up, Jeremy Jacquet said: “Better than I imagined.
“To train with all these great players, it’s just a great pleasure. I’m just trying to make the most of every moment.”
