Arne Slot has confirmed that Curtis Jones will miss Sunday’s Premier League clash against Burnley.
He is expected to be the only absentee for the champions – a rarity at any stage of the season.
With Liverpool set to play seven matches over the next 21 days, the news comes as a welcome relief.
Right-back has been a concern in the early weeks of the new season, with Dominik Szoboszlai having to fill in due to injuries to Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong.
Both defenders, however, are now available for the trip to Turf Moor. Bradley featured twice for Northern Ireland during the international break, while Frimpong has recently returned to training.
“I think they are [all available],” said Slot on Friday. “We train today with most of them after the international break.”
“Curtis Jones got injured in the last game and will not be available against Burnley. All of the players came back without injuries.”
“That is not always the case. We are happy they are fit, so it is a big compliment for the Swedish manager and a few others.
“Ryan Gravenberch only started one game for the Netherlands.”
The Dutchman added: “If there’s anything I learned [from post-break last season], it is always difficult.
“At that time, I was focused on ourselves, but the Forest form after that, it had more to do with their quality.”
“To implement it as best as possible, but the final third is mainly for the form of wingers, mainly. Because you end up on the sides, the bigger the threat they are the chances we will generate.
“An early goal normally helps you in a game like this. If you concede, it gives even more energy to the other team.
“As always, we’re hoping our attackers can make the difference.”
