Conor Bradley will miss Liverpool’s game against Sunderland but could return for the trip to Leeds United this weekend.
The full-back has been sidelined for the Reds’ last three matches due to a muscle injury, but Arne Slot confirmed on Tuesday morning that he has now returned to training.
Wednesday’s clash with Sunderland at Anfield comes too soon for Bradley, although he may be available for Saturday’s visit to Elland Road.
Meanwhile, Slot also revealed that Jeremie Frimpong, who has not featured since picking up an injury in the win over Eintracht Frankfurt in October, is expected to return to training next week.
Slot told reporters at his pre-Sunderland press conference: “Conor got into a training session yesterday for the first time, team training.
“Not everything 100 per cent yet, we had to manage that a little bit, so don’t get your hopes up too soon, too fast. But the good thing is that he does certain parts with the group already.
“And we expect the same with Jeremie next week, so the two of them come back but unfortunately we play a lot of games… so Jeremie, if he is training with us next week, he will miss out on three more games, for example. But the two of them are coming back.
“I hope he [Bradley] will be available for Leeds.”
