Curtis Jones has revealed that Mohamed Salah has established a new rule for frequent visitors of Liverpool’s recently installed coffee bar at the AXA Training Centre.
The midfielder, a regular at the station located in the reception of the Reds’ training ground, is often joined by Kostas Tsimikas, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Salah himself.
Jones shared that Salah has set some ground rules for those who want to be part of the AXA Centre’s “coffee club.”
“We’ve got this thing that we’re not allowed our phones when we’re there having coffee,” Curtis Jones told LFCTV.
“It’s Mo [Salah] who has brought in the rule.
“If we’re inside there and I’m on the phone then Mo will tell Dom; ‘Text him and tell him that we’re here and want to have a conversation with him’.
“In other words; ‘Get off your phone’!”
Arne Slot’s side is reaping the rewards of their time spent bonding over Americanos.
The Reds currently sit at the top of the Premier League and second in the newly revamped Champions League after Wednesday’s 1-0 victory against RB Leipzig.
Up next for the Reds is a crucial test against title rivals Arsenal on Sunday, where a win in North London would put Slot’s team seven points clear of the Gunners.
Mohamed Salah is set to play a pivotal role in that match, despite some lingering questions about his future as he approaches the final months of his contract.
Since joining Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, the 32-year-old has scored an impressive 218 goals in 361 appearances, solidifying his status as a key player for the Reds.
