Florian Wirtz recorded a rare statistic as Liverpool beat Brentford 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.
Goals from Victor Munoz and Alexander Isak secured three points for the Reds after Keane Lewis-Potter had given Brentford the lead before half-time. The hosts also had players sent off at the end of both halves.
Florian Wirtz impressed with an assist for Munoz’s goal and was named Carlsberg Player of the Match after creating nine chances from open play.
According to Opta, it was the most by a player in a Premier League game since Sadio Mane recorded nine for Liverpool against Burnley in January 2021.
It was also the highest total by an away player in more than 15 years, since Samir Nasri created 10 chances in August 2011.
