Liverpool are among the clubs tracking the progress of in-form goalscorer Omar Marmoush, with fresh terms now set for his potential transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2025.
Amid ongoing uncertainty over Mohamed Salah’s long-term future at the club, with no contract extension yet signed, Liverpool have been linked with replacing their star Egyptian forward with fellow countryman Marmoush.
Simply put, the 25-year-old has been on fire in the Bundesliga this season, netting 13 goals and providing eight assists in just 14 appearances – figures that have caught the attention of Europe’s elite clubs.
According to The Athletic, Frankfurt are bracing themselves to lose Marmoush during the summer 2025 transfer window, at the latest.
However, a January move is still a possibility.
It is expected that Omar Marmoush will join a club playing Champions League football, with Liverpool among the Premier League clubs showing interest. Bayern Munich, Napoli, and Juventus are also reportedly in the hunt.
Marmoush’s asking price is expected to be between €40m (£33m) and €50m (£42m), presenting Liverpool and other suitors with a significant decision to make.
Arne Slot currently has six attacking options at his disposal, but Salah’s ongoing contract situation remains a point of concern.
Negotiations are still underway, despite the 32-year-old expressing disappointment over the lack of an offer at the end of November.
At that time, Frankfurt’s sporting director Timmo Hardung confirmed that there had been no contact from Anfield over Marmoush’s potential transfer.
