Arne Slot has offered an update on the fitness of Ryan Gravenberch, Ibrahima Konate and Alisson Becker ahead of Liverpool’s upcoming meeting with Manchester United.
Gravenberch was substituted at half-time during the Netherlands’ 4-0 victory over Finland last Sunday, while Konate withdrew from the France squad prior to their game against Iceland on Monday night.
During his pre-match press conference on Friday morning, Slot said: “Ryan is completely fit, although we still have to train twice. But if you ask me now he is completely fit.
“We are in a good place with the Dutch national team if Ronald Koeman can make a decision either to play Tijjani Reijnders or Ryan Gravenberch, so he played them both 45 minutes.
“Ibou has come back to us, started the sessions again and is expected to train with us today.”
Alisson suffered an injury during the Reds’ Champions League tie at Galatasaray before the international break and Slot added: “He is not training with us, so he is out.”
When asked for a timeframe on the No.1’s possible return, the head coach replied: “Like I always say, it’s so difficult to say because the end phase of rehab can always give you positives or negatives, but he will not play on the weekend and also not next week.”
