Juventus working on deal to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker

The 33-year-old has one year left on his contract, but Liverpool remain relaxed and have received no formal approach

According to GIVEMESPORT, Juventus are working on a deal to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker this summer.

The 33-year-old has one year left on his contract, but Liverpool remain relaxed and have received no formal approach.

Juventus previously believed a deal would be difficult, though optimism has grown with Alisson Becker open to a move. Personal terms are not expected to be an issue, especially if Juventus qualify for the Champions League.

Luciano Spalletti’s side are fourth in Serie A, one point above Roma with three games remaining. Alisson remains Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper and is close to returning from a hamstring injury.

Giorgi Mamardashvili has been signed as a long-term successor, but the club would prefer to keep Alisson until his contract expires.

The Brazilian is not pushing for a move and would only leave if it suits Liverpool. Since joining from Roma in 2018, he has made 332 appearances and famously scored a late winner against West Brom in 2021.

Virgil van Dijk dismissed exit rumours, calling Alisson “one of the team’s leaders” and “the best goalkeeper in the world.”

Juventus are seeking a new number one, with uncertainty over Michele Di Gregorio and Mattia Perin. They have also been linked with Guglielmo Vicario, though Inter Milan are seen as a more likely destination if he leaves Tottenham.

Liverpool have not set an asking price, but reports of a €10m fee are inaccurate. Even with a year left, they would demand a significant sum and could reinvest in a replacement if he departs.
