Liverpool may attempt to sign Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi in January window
Liverpool remain keen on the centre-back after a late £35million Deadline Day move collapsed in the summer

Crystal Palace believe Liverpool may be the only club willing to make a move for Marc Guehi in January, according to Sky Sports News.
The feeling at Selhurst Park is that other major European sides interested in the England international are prepared to wait until the summer, when they could sign him as a free agent.
Liverpool remain keen on the centre-back after a late £35million Deadline Day move collapsed in the summer.
It is not yet clear whether the Reds will try again in January or wait until the end of the season, but they face strong competition from Europe, particularly Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are also believed to be monitoring the situation, and Guehi will be free to speak to foreign clubs from January 1.
Liverpool enter the January window with Giovanni Leoni sidelined by a long-term injury and uncertainty surrounding Ibrahima Konate, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
Konate reportedly said during France duty that he hopes his future “will be decided very soon so I can announce it.”
Palace head coach Oliver Glasner revealed in October that Marc Guehi had informed the club he would not sign a new contract and intended to leave next year.
The defender’s current deal expires on June 30, at which point he can depart on a free transfer.
He will also be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs when the January window opens on New Year’s Day 2026.
Palace chairman Steve Parish reportedly pulled the plug on the Deadline Day deal with Liverpool three hours before the window closed because the club were unable to secure a replacement.
Guehi is on track to return from injury and face Wolves on Saturday after withdrawing from the England squad with a foot issue.
He sustained the injury late in Palace’s Conference League win over AZ Alkmaar on November 6 and subsequently missed the goalless draw with Brighton.
