Liverpool urged to sign Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush as Mohamed Salah replacement

The 25-year-old has caught the eye with his outstanding displays for Frankfurt this season

Liverpool have been put on high alert by Omar Marmoush, who has been showcasing his skills and proving why many view him as the ideal successor to Mohamed Salah.

The 25-year-old striker has turned heads with his dazzling performances for Eintracht Frankfurt, fuelling speculation about a potential move to Anfield.

Marmoush has played a key role in helping Dino Toppmöller’s Frankfurt rise to third place in the Bundesliga, thanks to his dynamic presence in attack.

With his contract at Deutsche Bank Park running until June 2027, Marmoush has already netted an impressive 10 goals and provided six assists in just nine appearances.

Not only has he been excelling domestically, but the Egypt international has also impressed on the European stage.

In the Europa League, he captained his team to a memorable victory over Slavia Prague, scoring a sensational free-kick that maintained their perfect record in the competition.

Standing just outside the 18-yard box, Marmoush curled the ball over the wall and into the top left corner, leaving the goalkeeper rooted to the spot.

His teammates swarmed him in celebration as he performed a knee slide toward the corner flag.

With displays like this, it’s no surprise that Omar Marmoush is quickly becoming one of Europe’s most coveted forwards, and reports suggest that Liverpool are being advised to act fast to secure his signature.

Last month, Liverpool legend Didi Hamann endorsed Marmoush’s potential, telling wettbasis.com that he believes the striker could make an impact in the Premier League.

Hamann stated: “I think that both Frankfurt strikers (Marmoush and Hugo Ekitike) are on the radar of the English.

“A wonderful couple that harmonise very well with each other.

“With Ekitike, we knew that he had great potential. He had indicated that last season, in the winter, and now he seems to be taking off.

“With Marmoush, I was always surprised at Wolfsburg that he didn’t really get going.

“But he’s a wonderful player, a great finisher, and has pace.

“So they’re both players who are obviously very interesting for the Premier League.”
