Bayern Munich have officially submitted a proposal to sign winger Luis Diaz from Liverpool, according to The Athletic.
The 28-year-old Colombian international has become a top target for Bayern, who put forward their first formal offer on Tuesday.
The bid was valued at €67.5million (£58.6m), but it was promptly rejected by the Premier League champions.
Liverpool reportedly value Diaz at over €100million.
However, this figure is believed to be more for accounting purposes rather than a genuine asking price, as the club’s stance remains firm that Diaz is not for sale.
Diaz, a former Porto attacker, is entering the final two years of his contract at Anfield.
So far, there has been no indication of a contract extension, and the player has made it clear to the club that he wishes to leave.
Despite this, Liverpool still see Diaz as an important part of their plans for the upcoming season and beyond – a position they have communicated clearly to Bayern, Barcelona, and other interested clubs.
Diaz joined Liverpool from Porto in January 2022 for an initial fee of £37.5million, potentially rising to £50million with add-ons.
Since then, he has made 148 appearances for the Reds, scoring 41 goals and providing 23 assists across all competitions.
During Liverpool’s 2024-25 Premier League title-winning campaign under manager Arne Slot, Diaz was a key figure, netting 13 goals in 36 top-flight appearances.
