Liverpool star Luis Diaz to arrive in Munich on Tuesday to undergo Bayern medical

Bayern are paying a fixed fee of €70m, with a further €5m in potential performance-related bonuses

Liverpool forward Luis Diaz is scheduled to arrive in Munich on Tuesday to undergo a medical ahead of his move to Bayern Munich, according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.

The Colombian winger will sign a contract until 2029, with an option for an additional year.

Bayern are paying a fixed fee of €70million, with a further €5million in potential performance-related bonuses.

Agents Christian Wein and Raul Pais Da Costa of the AS1 agency were instrumental in facilitating the deal.

Díaz and his representatives actively pushed for the transfer, despite Liverpool making two separate attempts to extend his contract in recent weeks.

He joined Liverpool in January 2022 for a guaranteed £37.5million, signing a 5.5-year contract.

With two years remaining on his deal and at 28 years old, this potential transfer would represent good business for Liverpool’s hierarchy.

On Saturday, manager Arne Slot confirmed that Diaz missed the Reds’ pre-season friendly defeat to AC Milan due to ongoing transfer speculation.

“He’s training really well with us,” Slot said, “but we’ve decided, for now, not to play him yet.

“I’m used to talking to most of my players on a regular basis, like I said, Lucho is training really well and we’ve decided he’s not playing at the moment. I cannot comment much more about that.”
