Manchester City are interested in signing Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, according to Sky Sports, with Tottenham Hotspur also pursuing the 27-year-old.
City are exploring options to strengthen their attack, with Savinho joining Tottenham and Omar Marmoush also potentially heading to north London.
However, there have been no club-to-club talks between City and Liverpool over Gakpo.
Liverpool do not want to sell the Dutchman and would likely need to sign two wide forwards before considering his departure.
The Reds are pursuing PSG duo Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, while they have also had multiple bids for Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh rejected.
Cody Gakpo, who is under contract until 2030, scored in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Newcastle United in their Premier League opener.
Meanwhile, City have verbally agreed a £34million deal with Palmeiras for Brazilian winger Allan. The transfer is worth £32m in fixed fees plus £2m in add-ons, with paperwork yet to be exchanged.
Allan is expected to replace Savinho, who has joined Tottenham for a deal worth up to £85m.
