AC Milan submit bid for Liverpool defender Joe Gomez
The two clubs are now in negotiations over the terms of a potential permanent transfer

AC Milan have submitted an official bid to Liverpool for defender Joe Gomez, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The two clubs are now in negotiations over the terms of a potential permanent transfer.
Liverpool are reportedly willing to sanction Gomez’s departure if they complete a deal to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.
Milan’s interest underscores Gomez’s reputation as a versatile defender capable of playing across the backline.
At just 28 years old, he boasts experience at the highest level, having won both the Champions League and Premier League with Liverpool, and brings pace and composure that could suit Serie A.
Despite this, a potential exit appears complicated given Liverpool’s current situation under manager Arne Slot.
Gomez has began the new season as a reliable squad option following the departures of Jarell Quansah and Trent Alexander-Arnold earlier this summer.
Slot has already strengthened the full-back positions by signing Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez, while also adding young defender Giovanni Leoni from Parma.
Even so, the Reds remain in the market for Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi, reportedly for around £30million.
