Chelsea reportedly offered chance to re-sign Fikayo Tomori from AC Milan

Tomori, a product of Chelsea's academy, departed the club in January 2021 after falling out of favour under then-manager Frank Lampard

Chelsea have reportedly been presented with the chance to bring centre-back Fikayo Tomori back to Stamford Bridge from AC Milan.

Tomori, a product of Chelsea’s academy, departed the club in January 2021 after falling out of favour under then-manager Frank Lampard.

The defender played a pivotal role in Milan’s Serie A title-winning campaign the following season.

However, this year, the 26-year-old has struggled for consistent game time.

Former AC Milan boss Paulo Fonseca limited Fikayo Tomori to just 13 minutes across his final 10 Serie A games, raising concerns about the defender’s future.

Newly appointed manager Sergio Conceição has yet to indicate whether Tomori will regain his place in the starting lineup, further fueling speculation over his next move.

While Juventus have been strongly linked with a move for the England international, Sky Sports Switzerland reports that a surprise return to Chelsea has also been proposed.

Chelsea are rumoured to be in the market for defensive reinforcements this month.

However, a move for Tomori is reportedly contingent on the departure of Axel Disasi, who has faced criticism following a string of disappointing performances.

Disasi has attracted interest from Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus, with both clubs seen as potential destinations for the Frenchman.

As of now, Chelsea are not actively pursuing Tomori but could revisit the possibility if Disasi leaves Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window.
