Federico Dimarco and Inter Milan snub Manchester United’s offer

Man United, in search of a new left-back during the January transfer window, had approached Inter to sign the 27-year-old

Italian defender Federico Dimarco has turned down an offer from Manchester United, with Inter Milan reportedly preparing to offer him a new long-term contract.

Man United, in search of a new left-back during the January transfer window, had approached Inter to sign the 27-year-old.

However, according to Tuttosport, both Dimarco and the Serie A club rejected the offer.

Federico Dimarco, whose current contract with Inter runs until 2027, is expected to sign an extension, further cementing his future at the club.

The left-back has become a priority target for Manchester United, but with his decision to stay at Inter, they will now have to explore other options.

The Red Devils have also been linked with potential moves for Paris Saint-Germain’s Nuno Mendes and AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez.

Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim, Inter Milan’s coach, is focused on bolstering his squad with a new left-back to complement his 3-4-3 formation.

Inter Milan had also fielded an offer from Premier League giants Arsenal, but Dimarco declined, citing his lifelong support for the club as a key reason for his decision.

Amorim’s men will return to action on Thursday, facing Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, before meeting Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday.
