Four new members of Andoni Iraola’s coaching staff at Liverpool confirmed

Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper have joined the Reds as first-team coaches, while Pablo de la Torre arrives as assistant coach and Tom Webber has been appointed first-team tactical analyst.

Four members of Andoni Iraola’s coaching staff have been confirmed at Liverpool ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper have joined the Reds as first-team coaches, while Pablo de la Torre arrives as assistant coach and Tom Webber has been appointed first-team tactical analyst.

All four worked with Iraola at Bournemouth between 2023 and 2026, where the club achieved their highest-ever Premier League finish of sixth last season.

Elphick made over 400 appearances in English football for clubs including Brighton & Hove Albion, Bournemouth and Aston Villa, and captained Bournemouth during their rise from the lower leagues to the Premier League in 2015.

After retiring in 2021, he moved into coaching and worked his way into Bournemouth’s first-team set-up before joining Iraola’s staff.

Cooper made more than 200 appearances for Bournemouth and captained the side between 2005 and 2012. He transitioned into coaching after retiring in 2017, eventually becoming part of the senior staff under both Gary O’Neil and Iraola.

De la Torre reunites with Iraola for a fourth time, having previously worked together at AEK Larnaca, Rayo Vallecano and Bournemouth.

Webber joins after nearly a decade at Bournemouth, where he progressed from performance analyst roles at Birmingham City and Leicester City to senior first-team analyst in 2024.
