Jordan Henderson set to join Brentford on two-year deal
Brentford believe Henderson will bring valuable experience and quality to their squad and dressing room

Jordan Henderson is poised to join Brentford on a two-year deal, according to Sky Sports News.
The former Liverpool midfielder, now a free agent after leaving Ajax, is expected to finalise the move over the weekend, with an official announcement to follow.
Brentford recently lost both their captain and first-choice defensive midfielder, Christian Norgaard, who transferred to Arsenal.
Additionally, head coach Thomas Frank departed for Tottenham Hotspur, with Keith Andrews appointed as Brentford’s new boss.
Despite just turning 35, Brentford believe Henderson, who has earned 84 caps for England, will bring valuable experience and quality to their squad and dressing room.
Norgaard’s move to Arsenal ended his six-year spell at Brentford. He joined the west London club from Fiorentina in May 2019 and quickly became a key player in their promotion to the Premier League.
He was highly influential under Thomas Frank, who left Brentford in June after seven impressive years to take charge at Tottenham.
Brentford could also face the possibility of losing star player Bryan Mbeumo, who might follow both the head coach and captain out of the club.
Although Manchester United are close to Brentford’s valuation of around £65million, there remains a gap regarding the payment structure, with Brentford reportedly wanting most, if not all, of the fee paid upfront.
This summer has already seen significant changes at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium, highlighted by the appointment of Keith Andrews as the club’s new head coach.
