Ryan Gravenberch is set to become the next Liverpool player to sign a new long-term contract, with the club preparing to open talks over an improved deal for the 23-year-old midfielder.
The Dutchman joined from Bayern Munich in 2023 on a five-year contract and still has two-and-a-half years remaining, but Liverpool are keen to secure his future while rewarding his rise as a key player under Arne Slot.
According to The Times’ Paul Joyce, formal negotiations are yet to begin, though there is a clear desire from the club for Gravenberch to commit beyond his current terms.
Liverpool are also planning contract talks with Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones, while Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson face more urgent situations with their deals nearing expiry.
Ryan Gravenberch, who reportedly earns around £150,000 per week, is expected to receive a pay rise.
Only Virgil van Dijk, Szoboszlai and Konate have played more minutes for Liverpool this season, underlining his growing importance after establishing himself as first-choice No. 6 last campaign.
Asked about his contract situation in November, Gravenberch told reporters: “Obviously I’m happy here, we have to see. We haven’t talked yet, but we will see.”
