Liverpool FC and adidas unveil bold new third kit for 2025-26 season

The jersey features a bold sea-green colourway inspired by classic LFC and adidas designs from the 1990s and early 2000s

Liverpool FC and adidas have revealed the Reds’ new third kit for the 2025-26 season – a striking design that blends heritage with modern performance, paying tribute to one of the most iconic eras in the club’s history.

The jersey features a bold sea-green colourway inspired by classic LFC and adidas designs from the 1990s and early 2000s.

It also marks the return of the adidas Originals Trefoil to an LFC kit for the first time in nearly 35 years.

Fans can choose from three versions: short-sleeve, long-sleeve, and a newly created cropped version.

On the back of the jersey, the “97” emblem, encased by the eternal flames, sits proudly at the nape of the neck.

Complementing the top, pristine white shorts include sea-green detailing, paired with matching sea-green socks.

Adding to the heritage feel, the kit also brings back the classic LFC crest from 1987 to 1992, merging memories of the past with a contemporary look for today’s players.

Liverpool actor and Reds fan James Nelson-Joyce leads the stylistic launch video, set to be released later today, alongside players Andy Robertson, Fuka Nagano, Trey Nyoni, and Steve McManaman.

The campaign also highlights homegrown talent both in front of and behind the camera, featuring local figures such as Dave McCabe from The Zutons, DJ Lauren Lo Sung, and influencers Yombo and The Scouse Ghetto Gourmet.

The third kit launch is accompanied by a standout all-black goalkeeper kit, an extensive training range, fashionable culture wear, hats, accessories, and a bold LFC Gazelle trainer.

The launch follows the club’s record-breaking start to its new 10-year partnership with adidas, with more home and away kits sold in the first month than ever before.

Orders have come from over 150 countries, with 70% of total purchases made via the club’s e-commerce platform.

Liverpool’s men’s team will debut the new third strip away at Burnley on Sunday, while Liverpool FC Women will wear it for the first time against Sheffield United on November 22.

Liverpool’s new adidas third goalkeeper kit has also been officially revealed and is available now.
