Liverpool handed massive injury boost ahead of Burnley tie
Frimpong’s return is particularly significant after he missed the last two matches due to a hamstring issue

Liverpool received an injury boost on Wednesday as Jeremie Frimpong and Stefan Bajcetic returned to first-team training.
The duo were spotted by club photographers at Liverpool’s Kirkby training base, completing a session on the grass.
Frimpong’s return is particularly significant after he missed the last two matches due to a hamstring issue.
The summer signing was substituted late in the win over Bournemouth on August 15 and has not featured since.
He was seen greeting Alexander Isak following the striker’s arrival from Newcastle United and was among the few players at the AXA Training Centre on transfer deadline day while undergoing rehab work.

Ahead of the Newcastle fixture in August, manager Arne Slot suggested that Frimpong could be ready to face Burnley after the international break.
He could compete with Conor Bradley and Dominik Szoboszlai for a starting spot at right-back.

Bajcetic, meanwhile, spent last season on loan at RB Salzburg and Las Palmas as he worked to overcome a long-term injury.
The midfielder managed just three Liverpool appearances in the previous campaign but impressed Slot during preseason last summer.

A setback at the end of his Las Palmas loan required hamstring surgery in June, and Wednesday’s Kirkby session marks his first appearance with the first team in over a year.
Despite interest from several overseas clubs during the transfer window, Liverpool opted to retain Bajcetic, with Slot confident he can contribute this season.

Alexander Isak also trained with the squad on Wednesday as he works to build fitness following a disrupted summer.
The striker had trained separately from his Newcastle teammates prior to his move to Liverpool and was deemed unfit for Sweden’s opening international match.
He made a brief substitute appearance in Sweden’s defeat to Kosovo and will require additional preparation before fully integrating into the Liverpool team.
With most first-team players still returning from international duty, Wednesday’s session had a youthful feel, with Jayden Danns and Kaide Gordon stepping up to assist the first team.
Only a handful of senior players – Freddie Woodman, Joe Gomez, and Federico Chiesa, who were not called up by their national teams – were present at the AXA Training Centre.
