Liverpool could be without Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley for Manchester City clash
Both players started the match as Slot maintained his perfect Champions League record this season
Arne Slot may have left Anfield with a sour taste in his mouth following Liverpool’s victory over Real Madrid, as the Reds now face concerns over the fitness of Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley.
Both players started the match as Slot maintained his perfect Champions League record this season, watching his side secure a clean sheet against the reigning European champions.
Conor Bradley impressed once again, continuing to deputise for Trent Alexander-Arnold, with his tackle on Los Blancos star Kylian Mbappe earning one of the loudest cheers of the night.
However, Bradley was forced off before the final whistle due to discomfort in his hamstring.
The Daily Mail reports that the Northern Ireland defender could be sidelined for up to four weeks, though the full extent of the injury will be determined after scans.
Meanwhile, Konate still has a chance to prove his fitness ahead of Liverpool’s showdown with Manchester City this weekend.
The French centre-back remains a doubt after limping off on Wednesday night, but there is hope he avoided any serious damage.
Slot expressed his concerns during his press conference on Thursday afternoon. he said: “They are still being assessed.
“Let’s wait and see but it is never a good sign. Conor, I had to take him off and Ibou didn’t walk off the pitch as he should after such a fantastic game that he played. He should have made a round and clapped the fans but he couldn’t.
“It is so close after the game last night and I have just come off the training pitch so I can’t tell you exactly where they are. We have to wait and see where they are this weekend.”
