Liverpool planning to hold talks with Norwich City over Kaide Gordon

The 20-year-old has struggled to secure consistent game time in recent weeks

Liverpool are set to hold discussions with Norwich City regarding Kaide Gordon’s loan spell, with the possibility of recalling the winger ahead of another Championship loan move, according to Liverpool Echo.

Gordon has made just eight appearances since joining Norwich on deadline day, accumulating only 165 minutes of playing time.

He has been absent for the last three matches, with his most recent appearance coming as a stoppage-time substitute in a 2-2 draw at West Brom on November 23.

The 20-year-old has struggled to secure consistent game time in recent weeks.

It is believed that Norwich expect Gordon to return to Liverpool, though the Reds have yet to make a final decision.

Liverpool are planning further talks with the Championship side next month before determining the player’s future.

The club ideally wants Gordon to feature more regularly in competitive football and could exercise their option to bring him back in January for another loan move.

However, this is just one of several possibilities being considered.

Kaide Gordon, who made history as the youngest player to score in Liverpool’s FA Cup history with his goal against Shrewsbury Town at Anfield nearly three years ago, remains part of the club’s long-term plans.
