Liverpool told how to solve Mohamed Salah contract situation

The Egyptian forward, who scored twice in Liverpool's 2-1 win at Newcastle on Wednesday, is set to be out of contract in the summer

Liverpool have been urged to meet Mohamed Salah’s demands as speculation over his future intensifies.

The Egyptian forward, who scored twice in Liverpool’s 2-1 win at Newcastle on Wednesday, is set to be out of contract in the summer.

Salah recently revealed that he has not been offered a new deal by the Reds and expressed that he is now closer to leaving the club than staying.

With the situation unresolved, former Reds forward Robbie Fowler believes the club should simply meet Salah’s demands, regardless of their magnitude.

Speaking on Amazon Prime Video Sport, Fowler stated: “I’d give him what he wants, I think that’s the simple answer.”

The ex-Liverpool star added: “I’m not big on the involvement, I’m big on the goals.

“Mo Salah’s performances for Liverpool for the contract he wants, he is a fantastic player, he is a game player that can win and change the game in a second.

“I mean, the word I like to describe him is he is brilliant.

“He doesn’t look comfortable, he doesn’t look technical but his stats and his numbers are incredible.”

On his contract, Fowler demanded: “I am stood here as a Liverpool fan, Liverpool just give him that contract and sign it because whoever comes in after him is gonna cost a lot more money.

“Go and give him the money.”
