Sol Campbell believes Liverpool have what it takes to emulate Arsenal’s legendary Invincibles side.
The former England defender, who played a key role in the Gunners’ unbeaten 2003/04 Premier League campaign, was asked whether he thought another team could ever replicate that achievement.
Without hesitation, Campbell backed Arne Slot’s Liverpool to be the next side capable of going an entire league season undefeated.
Speaking to Binge Football via BetSelect, he said: “Never say never. It’s very, very hard, but I think it’s doable.
“If you look at the talent in that Liverpool squad now, they’d be the most likely for me to go on to be the next Invincibles.
On his top four predictions, Campbell added: “Liverpool, Arsenal, Villa, United. It’s hard to see past Liverpool at this point.
“I think City and Chelsea will be tired because of the Club World Cup, and I think Liverpool will dominate.
Campbell’s comments will be music to the ears of Liverpool fans, especially coming from a player who was part of one of the most iconic teams in Premier League history.
