Liverpool ‘intend to make official offer’ for Wolves midfielder Andre

The Reds are still being tipped to strengthen before the February 2 deadline

Liverpool return to Champions League action this evening but continue to be linked with potential new signings as the January transfer window enters its final weeks.

The Reds are still being tipped to strengthen before the February 2 deadline.

Arne Slot’s side travel to face Marseille tonight, though attention off the pitch remains on recruitment after two recent setbacks.

Both Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi opted to join Manchester City despite strong links with Liverpool, with Guehi having been close to a £35m move from Crystal Palace last summer before the deal collapsed.

There is still time for Liverpool to move in the market, and speculation persists over possible arrivals.

The Reds have again been linked with Wolves midfielder Andre, a long-term target dating back to his time at Fluminense.

Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte reports that Liverpool retain interest, most likely with a summer move in mind, and could table an offer.

Wolves are said to be determined to keep the midfielder (Andre), with any bid below £26.2m (€30m) expected to be rejected.
