Arsenal explore move for Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman

Kingsley Coman is expected to leave Bayern Munich this summer

Arsenal are considering a move for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline, according to the Daily Mail.

Manager Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his squad with a forward, aiming to increase competition in wide attacking positions.

Coman could potentially leave Bayern this week, with strong interest from Saudi Arabia, particularly from Al-Hilal.

His situation has caught the attention of Arsenal as the transfer window nears its end.

The financial aspect of bringing Coman to the Emirates could be a significant factor, especially given the lucrative wages available in the Middle East.

He currently earns around £300,000 per week at Bayern.

Coman has just under three years remaining on his contract with Bayern.

Arsenal may face challenges in matching his current salary, which could put them at a disadvantage compared to the offers from Saudi clubs.

However, Arsenal can offer Coman the opportunity to compete at the highest level, with the club expected to contend for the Premier League title and make a deep run in the Champions League this season.

With Arsenal having recently secured the signings of Mikel Merino, Riccardo Calafiori, and David Raya for a total approaching £100 million, the club’s financial resources are expected to be stretched thin for additional high-profile permanent acquisitions.

Emile Smith Rowe’s initial £27 million transfer to Fulham has alleviated some of the financial pressure, and Eddie Nketiah’s anticipated £30 million move to Crystal Palace is expected to provide further relief.

However, if Arsenal pursue a move for Kingsley Coman, it is likely that any potential transfer would be a temporary solution, given the current budget constraints.
