Arne Slot will serve a one-match suspension after receiving his third yellow card since taking over as Liverpool head coach.
The Dutchman was cautioned during his side’s clash with Fulham for expressing his displeasure with a decision by referee Tony Harrington.
After Curtis Jones was booked for a sliding tackle on Alex Iwobi, Slot became visibly animated on the sidelines, voicing his frustrations
. Jumping up and down and shouting from his technical area, he later buried his head in his hands before Harrington issued a yellow card to the Liverpool boss.
The caution marked Slot’s third booking of the season, meaning he will now face a one-match suspension.
He had previously been booked in Liverpool’s encounters with Chelsea and Arsenal earlier in the season.
In his post-match interview following the 2-2 draw at Arsenal, Slot was asked about his booking, to which he responded:” “They [Arsenal] always fell down when they had ball possession.
“I said to [Ibrahima Konate] ‘This is a f*****g joke’, but the fourth official thought I was talking to him! I got a yellow for that!”
