Manchester United and Real Madrid set to miss out on Bayern star Alphonso Davies
Davies' current contract runs until July 2025
Alphonso Davies is reportedly on the verge of signing a new contract with Bayern Munich, despite interest from top European clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid.
According to Sky Sports, negotiations between Davies and Bayern have reached an advanced stage, with the 24-year-old making key concessions regarding his salary expectations.
Davies’ current contract runs until July 2025, but following Bayern’s refusal to meet his demands last summer, some of Europe’s biggest clubs started to circle.
However, recent reports suggest that both parties have now reached an agreement, with the Canadian international set to commit to his future at the Allianz Arena.
Interest in Alphonso Davies has been widespread, with Real Madrid initially considered the frontrunners to secure his signature.
Barcelona and Manchester United have also entered the race, both seeking to bolster their full-back options.
Bayern, currently unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season, will be hoping to bounce back from their midweek DFB-Pokal elimination.
Vincent Kompany’s side have conceded just nine goals in 11 league matches with Davies in the starting XI.
The Canadian has missed only one Bundesliga game so far this season.
Bayern will look to return to winning ways in their home fixture against relegation-threatened Heidenheim on Saturday, December 7.
